If you’re looking for the ultimate road trip, the Oregon coast may just be the perfect destination, with craggy beaches, hikes through lush forests, and charming towns stretching for the 363 miles along the Pacific coastline.
With so much to see, jam-packed in this stretch of U.S. Route 101, it can be hard to know exactly where you should stop along your journey. So, without further adieu, here’s 17 incredible Oregon Coast towns to add to your road trip itinerary.
Pacific Northwest’s Paradise
From Cannon beach to Pacific City, we’ve seen, hiked, kayaked, and road-tripped in just about every adorable little town that dots the pacific coast of Oregon. Famous for its stunning beaches, excellent eats, and more cute shops than you can shake a stick at, this region has something for everyone.
We’re headed back here this summer for… well… we’ve lost count to be honest. We’ve been lucky enough to live just a short drive away for the last 4 years and have spent many a weekends exploring this little slice of heaven.
Oregon kinda has it all—snow-capped mountains, craggy high deserts, and a wildly stunning coastline—so perhaps it’s no surprise that we keep going back for more.
Washington

Home to three stunning National Parks and a diverse array of climates ranging from arid deserts to lush rainforests, Washington truly has is all!
In case you didn’t know, we sold our house and quit our corporate jobs in the early summer of 2023 to run this travel blog. Well, it’s been a crazy few months since then- traveling to Scotland, England, Canada, Mexico, and driving around the PNW in our brand new home-on-wheels!
We’ve absolutely fallen in love with this little corner of the planet, but starting in October, are going to hit the road and starting living in our trailer full-time, exploring all over North America (and beyond) in the next year!
We’re going to take advantage of the paradise that is Washington in the Summer, hike non-stop, and visit some of our favorite spots one last time for 2023.
Colorado
October 2023
Colorful Colorado has the most 14ers of any state, offers an incredible craft brewing scene, and is home to 4 National Parks, making it an excellent roadtrip destination for outdoor enthusiasts!
We’ll be kicking off an epic cross-country RV journey south for the winter, starting with Colorado! We’re so excited to see friends and, with Jessica recently becoming a first-time aunt, catch up with family and hold her beautiful baby nephew for the first time!
Along the way, we’ve got plans to see the aspens for fall, dust off our snowshoes, and fingers-crossed, see some wildlife.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Well know for its incredible array of animal and plant life, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers world-class hiking and camping with breathtaking natural views.
Famed for its beautiful fall foliage, the Great Smoky Mountains have been high on our National Park bucket-list for years now!
We’re so excited to visit and see all that Tennessee and North Carolina has to offer along the way.
